As music is offered at the Junior and Senior College levels at Woodlands International College, a love for music is similarly instilled in the Woodlands Pre-Primary child. We believe that a significant window of opportunity for learning through music presents itself during the early years, and accordingly we harness the educational possibilities that this developmental stage affords.
Music is offered on a weekly basis by a qualified music teacher where singing, movement and instrument playing is presented to all. Children are encouraged to use music as a means to express their creativity and emotions. The class teacher also presents music where songs, rhythm, and body percussion are explored, and an appreciation for music is developed.
Collaboration is of the utmost importance for the 21st century child, and this is evident in the ability to perform as part of a percussion band or being able to move together as part of a dance group.
