The Woodlands Intermediate Phase Chess Club has steadily grown in popularity with students participating in a highly contested intra-school league with students from Grade 4 to 6 competing on the same playing field. The Club has branched out to an online league where students similarly compete and hone their skills. The growth of the Woodlands Chess club is supported by the offering of Chess lessons for the Foundation Phase students by a highly qualified coach.
Exhibiting a strong competitive spirit, many of the club members participate online in the Ekurhuleni League. While also competing in the SISA Chess league and in SISA Chess Tournaments.
