Mini-Cricket is introduced to the Junior College students from Grade 1. An outsourced cricket academy provides introductory clinics on Friday afternoons for the boys. Harnessing the skills from these clinics, rotational teams are selected, and these children then participate in friendly, mini-cricket matches against neighbouring schools.

Cricket is a relatively new sport at Woodlands, with the Junior College fielding two teams annually, participating in the league: Under-11 and Under-13.

A major highlight of the cricketing history was the guest appearance of Proteas Cricketing legend “Vinnige” Fanie De Villiers, the South African fast bowler from the 1990s. Mr De Villiers delivered a highly motivating and inspiring talk to our young cricketers, which many of our Senior College cricketers still recall.

Woodlands Junior College is also proud to be associated with the Excellence Cricket Academy which provides expert coaching for our aspiring young cricketers.
