The swimming season has kicked off with a splash this term. We have had an amazing turnout of very eager swimmers. Our team has increased from 30 swimmers to over 50, this growth has allowed Woodlands to enter a very competitive A team and a B team. Our teams have held their ground and shone brightly this season.
A warm welcome to Mrs McManus and Mrs Muller who have joined our management team. We also have to extend our congratulations to our very own Tingwei Deng who has been selected to represent South Africa in the elite team abroad later this season. We also have several swimmers who have competed at various level championships around the country, whom we are so proud to have as part of the Woodlands team. They have inspired all our swimmers to rise above mediocrity.
With the close of this half of the season we celebrate our placing in the Inter-Primary league with a second place for our A team and seventh place for our B team. Both teams showed great determination, sportsmanship and a love of the sport.
We look forward to growing from strength to strength in January.
